Thursday was a good evening for Geraldines as their Senior Ladies confirmed their place in the Senior Championship semi-finals and their U12s won the Under-12 North League Final.
In Haggardstown a 5-9 to 2-10 win over St Mochtas in Senior Championship Group A means the Gers are through to the semi-final as group winners where they will play Group B runners-up Newtown Blues. St Mochtas will be hoping to hold on to the second qualifying spot they currently hold. The remaining fixtures in the group will see the Brides, Roche/Na Piarsiagh and Stabannon fight it out, all still in with a chance of overtaking the Mochtas.
Meanwhile in Kilkerley the future Geraldines stars played the U12 North League Final against their old rivals Cooley Kickhams, with the Gers winning out on a score of 2-7 to 1-6.
The Under 12 South League Final is on Saturday when St Kevins take on St Fechins in Knockbridge at 12pm.
In the Senior Championship Stabannon take on visitors Roche/NaPiarsiagh on Sunday at 11; a “must win” for both teams to stay alive in the competition.
Intermediate Group A comes to a conclusion on Sunday at 11. St Pat’s are already confirmed as semi-finalists, with the Dreadnots hoping to join them after their match. Clans and O’Raghallaighs/Plunketts also meet, both looking for their first win of the campaign.
