It was a busy weekend of Championship Football in Louth with St Fechins, Geraldines and Roche/Na Piarsaigh all gaining important victories in this year’s Senior competition;
Meanwhile in the Intermediate Championship Clan na Gael and St Patricks are setting the pace in the two groups. The Clans had a good win (8-11 to 4-11) over Kilkerley on Sunday in Group 1, while St Pats had a convincing victory over Naomh Mairtin / Glen Emmets (3-20 to 1-06). Its all to play for with one round of games to go in this phase of the competition, all teams are still in contention for a place in the knock-out stages.
In still very tight in the Junior Championship, where Geraldines B, Cooley B and Ardee St Marys are all tied on one victory each, while Hunterstown still remain in contention.
