Congratulations to all the teams who took part in the John West Feile Girls Under 15 football challenge, which was held on Saturday 28th August in St Fechins in Termonfeckin and Newtown Blues , Drogheda, with 9 teams participating.
In fabulous weather all these young teams provided great entertainment and demonstrated great skills which augurs well for Ladies football in Co. Louth.
Division 1 Teams: Cooley Kickhams, Geraldines and St. Patricks.
After some very exciting matches the Cooley Kickhams and Geraldines met in a highly competitive final with Cooley emerging victorious. Cooley 1-12 Geraldines 1-02
Division 2 Teams: Naomh Mairtin, Glen Emmets, St Mochtas, Newtown Blues, St. Fechins and Clan na Gael.
In a very close match Naomh Mairtin won Division 2 with a two point victory over Glen Emmets, 1-4 to 1-2. This was a very tight and entertaining match.
Well done to all teams who participated on the day and to everyone involved in organising a very successful event, particularly the Sponsors John West.
