Hard Luck Ladies

It wasn’t to be for our Ladies team today, it’s been a hugely emotional season, well done to the team, management and everyone involved on getting to the final but hard luck on the day. Congratulations to Limerick.

U12 Patsy Thornton Memorial Cup

U12 Patsy Thornton Memorial Cup

The family of the late Patsy Thornton & Newtown Blues have donated a cup for the U12 competition. Patsy was a great footballer and lover of Gaelic and with close ties with the Blues and in his earlier years the Geraldines, we are delighted that we can remember him and his family in this way. (If we can keep the competition going next year his granddaughters will play in it with Mattock).

Louth Ladies Advanced Development Squad Update

On Saturday 1st September the LLADS had a very busy morning with a breakfast for their families, presentation of new gear and a visit from Sharon and Cora Courtney from Donaghmoyne and Monaghan ladies to take the training session.

With a large group of 35 girls.

Sharon and Cora got down to work putting the girls through their paces and offered advice as to how the girls can improve their game and play smarter. It was a very informative session for the LLADS and they thoroughly enjoyed it.

After the training session they were presented with their new gear and they sat down to enjoy the hot breakfast that was provided for them. We would like to Sharon and Cora for their time, DYI for the use of the grounds and all the parents who came for breakfast.

We would also like to wish the very best of luck to Louth Ladies in the upcoming All Ireland Final.

Under 13 Development Squad Photos
