On Wednesday 11th July the LLADS played Roche/Na Piarsaigh in Pairc an tAthair Uí Dhubhthaigh on the Rock Rd.
It was a chance for the LLADS girls to put their weeks of training into action and they put on an excellent display of skill and speed.
This was the squads first full game together, the link-up play and team work was top notch. The majority of the squad walked onto the field as strangers but they walked off as a team. With clubs like Cooley, Pats, Gers, Mary’s, Hunterstown, Blues, O’Rahaillighs, Kilkerley and the Clans represented it’s a testament to the dedication of these girls to ladies football. They train every week, are eager to learn and never complain, they are a credit to their clubs and their county.
We would like to thank the Roche/Na Piarsaigh ladies and mentors for giving us a fantastic game and to Na Piarsaigh for the use of their facilities.
