Louth Ladies Football team Manager Wayne Freeman and his management team have named their 2021 Captain and Vice Captain for the season ahead.
We are delighted to say Shannen McLoughlin of Clan na Gael has been named as team Captain.
Shannen works in Coláiste Chú Chulainn in Dundalk as a PE and Maths teacher. She didn’t start playing football until she finished college in 2016, up to that she had been playing rugby and basketball in college. She was called up to the Louth panel in 2017 and won her first All Ireland medal in 2019.
Our Vice Captain is Michelle McMahon from the Glyde Rangers club. Michelle works with Irish Life and started playing football when she was 8. She has come up through the Louth underage teams and won her 1st of 2 All Ireland medals in 2015 and her second in 2019.
Many congratulations to both the girls and we wish them and all our Louth Ladies all the very best for the coming year.
