Good performance but no luck for Louth U14s

Our Louth U14’s made the short trip to St.Marys Donore to face near neighbours Meath in the 1st round of the Leinster Championship on Saturday.

Louth started the game well and scored 2 goals, 1 from a penalty but Meath chipped away and at half time the score was close at 2-4 to 11 points. However the second half saw a Meath team rack up the scores  and the game finished up with a full time score of Louth 4-8, Meath 8-15. While the score difference at the end of 19 points may make for harsh reading the girls gave it their all and cannot feel disappointed against a team who would not normally be in their group.
